8. The last half was much more useful than the first half.
9. I enjoyed the frank perceptions from the students. I feel there are strategies and guidelines
being formulated or already created, but it has not flowed down to the classroom. Much still
needs to be done. But I am hopeful because people are now discussing it.

11. Too focused on policies and procedural guidance. Very top heavy; only the students had the
good truth.

4. The Students highly prioritized the need for teachers who look like them and data supports
that need.

11. The data suggests that there needs to be more teachers of color,
12. There needs to be more male influence in the schools – particularly for students of color.
13. Policies and curricula exist but action to create the educational equity is not taking place.
What is in place to train the administrators, teachers and staff and then evaluate them and
give them feedback?
14. This will not happen overnight – are we, the schools and the community, in for the long
haul, but with deadlines set to measure and review and celebrate our progress?
