9. The school system is attempting to hire more minority teachers.
10. Enjoyed listening to the students the most. They were authentic and told the most essential
narratives – the impact on the students.

1. I thought the panel was a great selection of people representing, the private citizen, students,
teachers, volunteer, school advocate and administrator and two different counties.

3. Dr. Curry’s answers seemed to be focused on regulations instead of content.
4. All seemed to be nervous. They needed to think carefully but seemed to care.
5. It was very good.
6. I think it was great to have this conversation take place and it is long overdue.
7. I hope that this is a serious approach to addressing matters that are important to all of us.
8. Liked hearing the students’ perspectives.
9. Not to impressed. It seemed that it as more all on statistics; some seemed bothered by the
questions and uninterested.

1. Appreciated hearing the voice of the students.
2. Every Big Conversation should include youth. Their perspective is real.
3. Calvert is leading the way but is change going to come fast enough?
4. Curriculum needs to include more than the Euro perspective and history across all areas of
study.
5. Sadly, things have not changed much in the last 16, 20, 50 years – except people are paying
attention to root issues now.
6. Very helpful but awfully policy oriented.
7. Some of the panelists shared honest and personal stories that were productive as a continuing
part of the ongoing conversation.
