               II.  PURPOSE

               The purpose of this document is to delineate the goals, structure, governance
               and responsibilities of the BCPDRP members.

               III.  GOALS

               The goals of the BCPDRP are to:

                   •  Promote the Common Good

                   •  Provide a safe place where people can come together and exchange
                       differing experiences and points of view

                   •  Promote expansive thinking and suspension of judgment

                   •  Establish structure and guidelines to support constructive conversation

                   •  Encourage the consideration of values - each participant brings their own
                       lived experience, perceptions and understanding

                   • Seek the truth. Provide inclusive and comprehensive historical
                       background that helps better understand the issues and supports
                       resolution

                   • When appropriate, provide facilitators to encourage and support
                       constructive communication in which participants feel empowered to
                       share honest dialogue

                   • Provide results/insights from Big Conversation events to participants,
                       community, organizations, business leaders and other interested parties to
                       promote and enhance community understanding

                   • Establish and maintain a sustainable model and structure

                   • Develop and document structure, procedures and tools that will be
                       transferable to others wishing to replicate the model
