Any organization in the Southern Maryland area (primarily Calvert, Charles,
St. Mary’s Counties) that has an interest in supporting the BCPDRP
mission statement, purpose and goals in a collaborative process to
improve race and cultural relations in our local communities may request
membership. Requests to join the BCPDRP as a community partner will
be reviewed and decided upon by the BCPDRP Steering Committee.
Section 4.2 Organizational Partners
• Each Partnership Organization will designate at least one (1)
representative to attend each quarterly meeting.
• Each Organization has one (1) vote
• Guest organizations that are invited to a quarterly meeting are
expected to provide one or more representatives, if the invitation is
accepted. Guest organizations do not have a vote.
Section 4.3 Organizational Partner Expectations:
A. BCPDRP Organizational Partners will commit:
• To support the BCPDRP mission statement
• To provide support for the Partnership’s agreed upon initiatives
through sharing information, time and talents
• To provide input to the Steering Committee on the concerns of the
Partner’s organization and community
• To create activities and programs which build on the topics
presented by Big Conversation forums and other activities which
further the Big Conversation Mission Statement
• To identify a representative to the Partnership group who will be
responsible for regularly attending Partnership meetings and
reporting back to the Partnership and the organization it represents
• To facilitate attendance and participation of the Partner’s
representative in quarterly meetings and other Partnership activities
• To provide representation and input to the Steering Committee
when requested
• To provide in-kind and/or financial (when possible) support - $75
when joining for the purpose of supporting the BCPDRP
• To promote Big Conversation activities and programs both within
their organizations and to their communities
• To keep the Big Conversation apprised of activities which promote
the BC mission statement so that they can be publicized on the BC
website
